FCPS Kings Glen STEM exCEL Robotics (4-6)

*Please note: Parent volunteers are required for all after school enrichment classes at Kings Glen. If the provider does not have a parent volunteer identified, the class session will be cancelled.

This volunteer opportunity allows you to support the program while receiving the course for free for your child. ONE scholarship is available for the parent volunteer.  As a parent volunteer, you would be required to attend each of the after-school meetings of this course (Thursdays, 3:30pm-4:30pm, April 9-May 21).

STEM exCEL Robotics is designed for students looking to get started with robotics, and who are possibly interested in learning competitive robotics. In this course, students learn how to design, build, and program Lego robots by constructing and programming a robot. By applying engineering concepts as well as advanced sensor programming skills, students will perfect their design and programming to solve a variety of challenges. These engineering, design and programming concepts serve as a great stepping stone for students that have an interest in competing in robotics competitions such as First Lego League (FLL).
